Questions and Answers

Most sites keep the Shipping and Handling charge a dirty little
secret. They don't give you the shipping charges up front, and many
sites don't give you that information until you give them
your credit card number! How can you truly compare prices
if you don't know the Shipping and Handling Charge before
you place your order. Of course, many sites don't want you to know,
because if you knew how much they were going to charge you, you'd
buy from us!
We combine
the shipping weight of the items you order to get you the lowest
shipping price. As you add items to your cart, our shopping cart
program will figure the cost of delivery for the various shipping
options (Priority Mail, FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2nd Day, etc.) in
real time and display the costs under the order total. It does this
by using its best guess of where you are in the world based on your
IP address. When you enter your actual shipping address during
checkout, the final costs may change slightly if our system's "best
guess" is way off. But usually it is frighteningly accurate. The
system also gives you the option of entering your actual delivery
address prior to check out. If you want exact shipping costs while
adding items to your order, click the "Actual
Shipping" link under the shipping options and enter your zip
code.
FREE SHIPPING
US
domestic and APO/FPO shipments:
If the total amount of
your order equals or exceeds $75 (product total without any
shipping charges) your order will automatically qualify for
FREE SHIPPING via USPS (the Post Office) Priority Mail.
Delivery via Priority Mail averages 2-3 business days.
International
shipments:
If the total
amount of your order equals or exceeds $150 USD (product
total without any shipping charges) your order will
automatically qualify for FREE SHIPPING via USPS (the
United States Postal Service) International Priority Mail if
available in your country. Delivery times via International
Priority Mail varies widely from as little as 4-5 days to
weeks depending upon the delivery country...but its still
the fastest delivery for the price. Customer is responsible
for any tariffs, customs or other fees.
If you
desire to upgrade to FedEx or International Express Mail shipping,
you may select that shipping option during checkout for an
additional charge.
SIGNATURE REQUIRED
All orders
over $100 USD and all FedEx orders regardless of price, are sent
"signature required." If you wish to waive this please email us at
helpdesk@donnerspring.com
at the time you place your order saying explicitly that you,
"waive the Signature requirement and agree to accept the shipping
company's unsigned delivery confirmation as proof of delivery and
not to dispute the credit card (or Google) charge on the grounds of
non-delivery."
HOW WE FIGURE YOUR
SHIPPING COST
After we
know the weight and shipping address for your order our system
receives real time quotes from both the Post Office and FedEx.
On orders
being shipped via the Post Office, we add $2.20 per order
for Signature Confirmation Service and $2.20 per $100
of the order value for Delivery Insurance.
DOMESTIC
(US) PRIORITY MAIL DELIVERY TIME GUIDE
Our
Standard Shipment Method is USPS (the Post Office) Priority
Mail. The Post Office says this is usually 2-3 day delivery. In our
experience, it is usually 2 days to locations west of the
Mississippi and larger cities in the East, but more like 3 days to
smaller eastern cities. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee exactly
how long your delivery will take. Once we give it to the Post Office
or FedEx it's literally "out of our hands."
You can spend more for
shipping, lots more. But in reality, Priority Mail offers the best
bang for your buck especially because it's often as quick as 2nd Day
Air. For those of you who live out in the sticks (like us)
Priority Mail CAN be delivered to PO Boxes and APO addresses
where FedEx can't.
Priority Mail
Examples:
Many of our customers
ask if they will get their product by the weekend. At
Beavershaver.com, we love weekends and hate to see anyone's
plans spoiled. Use the following guide with our standard
Priority Mail shipping.
If you Order by 2pm
Eastern (11am Pacific) on
- Monday:
It should arrive on Wednesday, maybe Thursday
-
Tuesday: It
should arrive Thursday, maybe Friday
-
Wednesday:
It should arrive Friday, maybe Saturday
-
Thursday: It's
getting a little risky. It should arrive Saturday, but maybe
Monday. The only sure way to get it by the weekend is to
choose the Overnight route for an extra $35 or more. (ouch!)
We tried the "Saturday" delivery services offered by the
various express companies and they are all a joke. They
serve only "select areas" (read as "not where you live"). In
addition, to get there by Saturday you need to order on
Wednesday. You have as good a chance of getting it Saturday
with good old Priority mail, and its a lot less money!

Order Friday?
How about plans for next weekend?
EXPRESS SHIPPING Q & A
When you
get to the checkout page, it will display the various FedEx delivery
options (and prices) available for your order, such as 3-Day Express
Saver, 2nd Day Air, Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight, and
First Overnight. Just select the option you desire during the
checkout process. Loss and damage insurance is included in the
quoted shipping cost on all express shipments.
Note: If you order Wednesday After Our Order Deadline
(2pm Eastern, 11 am Pacific) and specify 2nd Day Air, your package
will not ship until Thursday and will not
arrive until Monday. This is bogus and we know it, but blame the
Express outfits for this, not us. If you order after the Wednesday
cut-off time you'll get it sooner and cheaper using our Standard
Priority Mail.
If you
order Thursday Before Our Shipping Deadline (2pm Eastern, 11
am Pacific) and want it by the weekend, overnight
is the only way to go; however, if you order on Thursday after
our deadline or on Friday, and specify overnight, you will get it
Monday instead of Saturday.
If you go
the Express route, please include a phone number in the optional
phone number field on the checkout form or the FedEx may refuse the
shipment. We need a valid street address because FedEx cannot
deliver to PO Boxes. Priority Mail, our standard shipping method,
can.
NOTE: Overnight is not available to some (limited) areas.
If you live in one of those areas, your Next Day actually takes 2
days. It costs the same but just takes two days, and we don't know
when we ship it if it's really going to be Overnight or the dreaded
"2nd Day." We ship from Salt Lake City, UT (Zip Code 84199). You can
check Overnight availability to your zip code at
http://www.fedex.com/us/.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING Q&A
Like
customers ordering from the USA, international customers get
estimated shipping costs for the various international shipping
options (FedEx & Post Office) we offer, updated in real time, on the
shopping cart page. While the system will try to guess where you
are, based on your IP address, for a more accurate shipping quote
click on the "Actual Shipping" link on the shopping cart page and
enter your shipping address to ensure the most accurate rates.
Note:
There will be customs and duty taxes/charges payable to your
government on the delivery of our product. These charges are your
responsibility and are not included in the price you pay.
Some countries will not
allow the admission of what they deem adult products. It is your
responsibility to ensure the products you are ordering will be
admitted to your country. Returned shipments will be subject to
return charge.
If you refuse delivery or
your customs agency refuses admission, we will refund the amount
charged on your card minus freight both ways
and a $30 US handling charge.
We reserve the right not
to ship to some countries.
SAME DAY SHIPPING
If noted on the item's
page as in stock, if you place your order Monday through Friday
before 2:00 PM Eastern (11 AM Pacific) your order will be sent
out the same day, Federal Holidays excepted. Place it after 2:00
PM Eastern and it will be sent out the next business day.
