Introducing the New ES1080 Cleancut Personal Shaver. The new
1080 Cleancut is the world's first purpose built Personal /
Pubic Shaver.
At Donner Spring Internet Retailers, we've been using a
prototype of the 1080 for over eight months now and we can tell
you we are really impressed; not only with the final product but
also all the engineering and expense Seiko S-Yard has invested
to make this the World's Premier Personal Shaver.
First, the heart of any great shaver design is the foil. Seiko
S-Yard tested five different foil designs (see picture) before
producing the final design. Slot design, width and placement
were tweaked. At the same time different foils thicknesses and
coatings were tried until the right blend of safety, comfort and
effectiveness was obtained.
The 1080 has a larger diameter foil that its ES412 parent, 1
9/32" for the ES412, versus 1 7/16" for the 1080 (width
including retaining ring.) This extra width makes for a quicker
and more comfortable shave and is the ideal size for most men
and women (However VERY small women might consider the smaller
diameter ES412 shaver.)
The wider diameter of the foil combined with the unique foil
slot pattern, allows the 1080 to place the more aggressive hair
slots on the outside of the foil. With use, you will learn to
"rock" the foil over to use the outer slots on problem areas,
while using the 1080's center slots by using in an upright
position for everything else.
The 1080 Personal Shaver has a new, curved, economically
designed shape making it easy to get the shaver into all those
"hard to reach" areas. And when pubic shaving remember, almost
all the areas are "hard to reach." The design if the 1080 is
inspired. A true pleasure to use.
The new 1080 is also rechargeable! Using the 110 volt, UL Listed
recharger brings the 1080 to full charge in 1 hour. Forgot to
recharge it? You can use it with the cord if necessary.
Indicator light shows the 1080 is charging. The light goes out
when fully charged. Please don't under estimate the importance
of the UL Listing. The 1080 is the only Personal / Pubic Shaver
on the market today with the UL Listing. What is your safety
worth?
The new 1080 is also easy to clean. You can rinse out the head
under running water. Or simply remove the foil and tap the hair
and powder out of the reservoir. Note: the 1080 is not
waterproof and cannot be used in the shower. Rinseable, but not
waterproof. But with pubic shaving the preferred shaving
technique is dry shaving with a lubricating powder. In fact we
include a 3 oz. bottle (not the 1/2 oz. bottle you get from
other retailers of pubic shavers) of Medical Grade cornstarch
based lubricating powder.
